"Strange Little Thoughts" 20inx20in Mixed Media, Screen Print Limited Edition (Hand-Painted Background)
Kevin Sechelski was born in 1977 in Houston, Texas. He is a lifelong artist, with a formative creative background in Visual Art. To that end, Kevin Sechelski has pursued many channels of education, including studies at the Kansas City Art Institute, and has shown in many independent and group exhibits as well as charitable events. Themes of interpersonal strife, anonymity, mindless consumption and environmental connectedness pervade his work, creating a timely aesthetic that combines elements of pop culture with more esoteric imagery.

“My work is an ongoing visual exploration and expression of the strange inner workings of my mind and its assorted versions of reality. My pieces bear an undeniably intimate, personal perspective, but they also communicate in layers, one theme on top of another. From insignificant tragedies to continuous internal conflicts involving contemporary social values and alienation from the natural world, my work is ever-changing. I try to express these messages with typography, simplicity and controlled chaos. From characters to bold words, I hope that every viewer takes something from my work with them.”

Kevin Sechelski is also the Co-Founder of the award winning show Neopopstreetfunk…
